According to Caroline Regis, there were benefits to integrating manufacturing with engineering purposes. The industry is its infancy and the decision to acquire Gemini was the answer to help Excel in adopting the changes in the business strategies with less consideration in surviving the organization.
When the choice of adopting outsourcing strategy or retaining manufacturing in-house was proposed, both Regis and Ogilvie has analyzed in-depth in their respective positions and thus, focus on defending their strategy rather than figuring the best ways to work in collaboration for the benefit of the company (Mayo and Michael., 2015).
Caroline Regis had an analytical nature and her tendency to believe in her ways made her ignore the issues faced by others and expertise that can be brought up within the company which would be valuable to it. She made an assumption at how to work at the newly merged entity and it was based on how the work was conducted at Excel and her past success.
